It is hard to imagine that a home as splendid and extravagant as the in Texas was a dark and dingy structure from the 1980s until recently. It was only after its new owners turned to Miró Rivera Architects that the true potential of this fabulous Texas home and the lot on which it sits were fully realized.
The wooden staircase acts as a spatial feature by separating the kids’ wing of the home from the adult bedroom on the top level while adding sculptural beauty to the open living area on the ground floor. The stairwell also brings natural light to the basement level and acts as a common connecting thread between the various floors.
A series of sliding glass doors connect these large living spaces with the outdoors and with each home comprising three individual structures that separate the public areas from the private ones there is ample privacy for the homeowners.
