The 200-year-old Spanish country house is nestled on a small mountain on the scenic northern shore of the island and the revamped structure makes the most of its location by offering unabated views of the landscape distant coastline and beyond. On the outside it is fruit trees and a lush green garden that drape you in a cloak of natural goodness and offer complete privacy while the interior brings together contrasting textures and finishes that create a unique relaxing setting.
The idea behind the extension was to enlarge the living space and alter the existing floor plan of the house and to move the dining area and family room into the new structure. Concrete and glass were the materials used to shape this seemingly minimal and polished new addition with the sliding glass doors and large floor-to-ceiling windows inviting the landscape indoors.
It is this simplicity of design that gives the its uniqueness and leaves ample space for the garden the series of outdoor living spaces and the ponds all around it. Creating a natural oasis amidst the urban chaos the home seems to disconnect with the city landscape and gives its retired homeowners a delightful escape.

Designed by Oleg Drozdov the house is broadly divided into three individual units with each one having its own series of balconies and private terraces that melt into the common social zone at the heart of it all. The central living zone flows into the semi-open terrace and pool area that overlooks the generous garden outside. This ingeniously crafted terrace allows the homeowners to enjoy ‘outdoor living’ throughout the year and allows the adults in the house to keep an eye on the kids as they spend time in the garden.
The distribution of the apartments across the four levels was done by placing one on the first floor while two duplex apartments occupy the second and third floors. A fourth apartment is accommodated on the top level with each individual apartment having its own outdoor lounge and porch that extends the living area outside.
